Under terms of the commercial agreement we have partnered to deliver Oracle Purchasing, iProcurement and an overhaul of their current financial system. This will involve updating their current business processes in order to meet the Councils' Purchasing and Finance future needs, such as iProcurement, eMarketplace, an effective approvals process, auditing requirements and improved information access.
Following a detailed tender process incorporating four of the leading Oracle consultancies, Sefton Council selected Praktis Solutions to partner with in order to provide project management, project office capabilities, change management, systems integration, testing, an implementation of Oracle Purchasing and IProcurement system, integration with updated business processes and enhancements to future proof the system for longer-term requirements.
The recommended solution involves an upgrade of the current Oracle financial system with the latest Oracle version 11i, the implementation of Oracle Purchasing and iProcurement with updated business processes. The latest version will deliver enhanced functionality which guarantees improved business processes (e.g. the use of work-flow to streamline purchase order authorisations).
Also, in conjunction with our partner Lloyds TSB Vantage who has been chosen to supply their eMarketplace solution to Sefton Council we can deliver a procure-to-pay implementation plan, which addresses workflow, users, departments and suppliers.
